Andrej’s connection to the Kokoda Youth Foundation goes back to 2005, when as a 16 year old he was one of the first twelve young people the Foundation took to Papua New Guinea to walk the 96km Kokoda Track. The values of that experience, Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice, have shaped every business he has built and every person he has mentored since.
A Gold Coast entrepreneur, Andrej has spent more than a decade founding, growing and exiting businesses in food, retail and technology and now brings that experience to the Foundation.
Andrej holds an MBA from Griffith University, where he is a Notable Alumnus and industry mentor in the Business School. Also, an appointed mentor through the Queensland Government’s Mentoring for Growth program and Advance Queensland’s Start Club.
He joined the Foundation’s Association Committee in 2025 and the Board of Directors in early 2026 before stepping into the current role, bringing his story full circle: from one of the first Kokoda Kids to leading the organisation that shaped him.
Andrej and his wife Jessie-Rose both work at the Foundation, which makes their young baby daughter the youngest Kokoda Kid in the family.
