Good to know

The questions every organiser asks first

If yours is not here, ask Tara. You will have an answer within a working day.

Do we get the park to ourselves?

Yes. Kokoda Park hosts one group at a time. The cabins, dining hall, indoor hall, pool and adventure course are yours for the stay.

How many people can you sleep?

154 beds in cabins, with separate accommodation for teachers and leaders. Tell us your numbers and we will tell you how it fits.

What does a quote include?

Every quote is itemised, so you see exactly what you are paying for: accommodation, meals from our kitchen, instructors, activities and equipment. Prices start from $119 per person. Self-run stays for community groups are also available.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. Our chef cooks on site and caters for allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences. Tell us at booking and confirm final numbers before you arrive.

What happens if it rains?

The program keeps moving. A large indoor hall takes activities during heavy rain, and in hot months walking is kept short or scheduled for the cooler parts of the day.

Do you serve alcohol?

No. Kokoda Park is a youth program venue and we do not sell or supply alcohol. Adult groups can discuss BYO arrangements with us at booking. Nothing is served on any date young people are on site.

Is the site accessible?

The bathrooms are newly renovated and include an accessible shower and toilet. Our independent accessibility report is published through Quality Tourism Australia: read the access report. Tell us about any needs in your group and we will plan around them.

What about medical care?

Instructors hold Wilderness First Aid and the technical qualifications for every activity they run, first aid kits are on site, and the nearest hospital is 25 minutes away. We collect medical and dietary information before you arrive.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes. Kokoda Park runs on Starlink internet, so presentations and video calls in the hall work. Tell us if your group needs to stay connected and we will set up the hall for you.

How do deposits and cancellations work?

A deposit holds your dates. We confirm final numbers with you before you arrive, and the full terms come with your quote in plain English.

Can we visit before we book?

Yes. Site visits are by appointment with Tara. If you cannot get out to the Lockyer Valley, we can walk you through on video.
