- Implement support and risk strategies to keep young people safe and engaged.
- Respond calmly to behavioural challenges with a trauma-aware approach.
- Participate fully in team briefings, logistics, and reflective practice.
- Contribute to accurate records and reporting to support program evaluation.
What we’re looking for
- Certificate IV (or higher) in Youth Work, Community Services, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience engaging at-risk young people in group, mentoring, or residential settings.
- Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe practice.
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Current Driver’s Licence and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
Desirable: Experience in outdoor or adventure-based education; working towards Diploma-level qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, or Outdoor Recreation.
